Kipp, I live on the East Coast so I have no prior experience of either species. These plants appear more consistent with C minimus in size - very small - and colour based on pictures and plant descriptions I have seen. The park biologist at Lassen suggested the possibility of a hybrid as he indicated these two species are known to hybridise.
