Zephyranthes morrisclintii hybrid was pictured on the Mystery Bulbs page for some time. Kelly Irvin grows this plant. There was some question about whether it could be Z. drummondii but it didn't quite fit. A couple sources suggest it could be Z. morrisclintii or a hybrid of it with something else so this is a tentative i.d. Both species are fairly early in bloom. Neither have very significant summer foliage. The foliage of Z. morrisclintii is generally wide and green and the foliage of Z. drummondii is generally blue. The flowers of Z. morrisclintii are more cupped or do not open completely compared to Z. drummondii. It could also by a hybrid of Z. drummondii. Photos by Kelly Irvin.

Zephyranthes 'Ruth Page' is a hybrid of Z. rosea × Z. citrina made by T.M. Howard. Its flowers look like a smaller, darker, and more precise version of Z. grandiflora. Photo taken August 2005 by Jay Yourch.
Zephyranthes 'Ruth Page' × Z. 'Aquarius' was hybridized by Jay Yourch in 2005 and bloomed for the first time in 2007. The color of the flowers, a rich pink, more closely resembles the seed parent. So far it has been a vigorous plant and a heavy bloomer, blooming several times each month starting in June and continuing through the summer, whereas the blooming season for 'Ruth Page' is mostly confined to late summer. Because this hybrid inherits nearly half of its genes from Z. candida it should be much more tolerant of cold temperatures than 'Ruth Page'. Photos taken July 2009 by Jay Yourch.
