Thalictrum Tourn. ex L. is a genus of 211 species in Ranunculaceae native to mostly temperate climates found on many continents and countries. Plants are perennial and grow from woody rhizomes, caudices, or tuberous roots.
Thalictrum tuberosum L., tuberous-rooted meadow rue, is a Mediterranean species found in the Pyrenees in rocky habitats (France and Spain). It is a very small plant, with almost all the blue-green leaves divided into ovate or lobed leaflets being basal. The flowering stem can get to about 30 cm tall, according to Jane McGary and the inflorescence is petaloid with wiry stems bearing white flowers with prominent, bright yellow stamens from late spring into autumn. References online list the height from 15 cm to 50 cm so it must be variable depending on the conditions where it is growing. Photos were taken by Robin Hansen who was growing it in Oregon. She noted that the leaves in the photos were something else, not this plant.
