Hedychium 'Slims Orange' has narrow, glaucous foliage and small orange-red flowers. It's compact, about 4 ft (1.2 m) tall, and reliably blooms in June, much earlier than any other hedychium, repeating later in the season as most other hedychiums are just getting started.
