Corydalis malkensis Galushko comes from the Northern Caucasus, the valleys of the Kuban and the Malka rivers, taking its name from the latter. It is a spring time woodlander, only above ground for around 3 months of the year. Given the RHS award of garden merit. Photographs by John Lonsdale.
