Allium macranthum

Allium macranthum Baker - First photograph is not a very good shot of this Himalayan and Chinese species, but it does show the floral detail that distinguishes the species. Very late to emerge, the flowers don't appear until late July to mid August with pendant droplets of pink to purplish flowers. The stems tend to be tall and floppy.
