Alcie Maxwell

Alcie Maxwell is grower in the northwest part of the state of Louisiana in the United States. His climate is wet, hot summers and dry, cool winters.

His interest in bulbs began when he saw a bright red Sinningia speciosa plant at a local African violet show. This started him on an obsession to grow as many of the sinningia species as possible. While most of his growing interest is primarily in sinningias and other gesneriads, he is exploring other genophytes like Hippeastrum, Crinum, and Clivia.

When he is not obsessing over plants, Alcie has an interest in photography, creative writing, and reviewing legal documents.
