Agapanthus pictured below from Mary Sue Ittner were given to her by Jim Robinett who grew them from seed he collected from plants he admired growing in Washington state. They are most likely hybrids and not a species. Most of them are dark purple, but one was white with purple tinges on the tips. They bloom in summer and are mostly evergreen although they look a bit ratty in winter. If any deer visit, they eat the leaves and flowers. Photos by Mary Sue Ittner.
