Diane, Mine flower when the canes are mature size - about 1 inch diameter, and at least 5 feet tall - and always on short day time, so late fall and also early spring since the canes are usually not winter damaged here. They are interesting but unruly plants, I would like to try some of the seed when it becomes available again.
