Fred, it will be interesting to hear the results of your crosses, especially what new leaf characteristics may appear. The image of the Ledebouria sp. growing out of hole in a vertical rock - the hole is about 3 cm in diameter. The Ledebouria seems to be quite old and is a bit stunted I would think. John, unfortunately I couldn't get hold of literature on species not occuring in South Africa. They seem to be very adaptable. There must be some other member who have seen them in other countries? I will be away for four days so the further images of Ledebouria that I want to upload will have to wait until Monday, sorry about the delay. Rhoda Napier, W. Cape
