All, A brief update: Because of some completely inexplicable screw-up at DHL in Johannesburg, one box for the US and one box for the EU were delayed there. The first US box has been in ATL since last Mon, presumably waiting to clear customs (and might show up at APHIS on Monday). The second box was finally sent and has now arrived at ATL and will await customs clearance. Both EU boxes are in Leipzig; tracking indicates they (DHL) want more details from the importer, so I assume they are or will be contacting Martin to get answers to whatever questions they might have before releasing them on to Stuttgart. I expect that DHL tracking will show when each box is in the hands of ag inspectors and then the UPS tracking will allow me to track the release from APHIS and on to Bridget. I don't know all the details re ground transport in Europe so I'm blind there, but if Uli or Martin have any tidbits to share, you will get them in due course. If you think this logistical chain is absurd and complicated, try building a car.
