Hello Bob, Did you get my email on how to post pictures to the forum? Do you grow Crocosmia ‘Cally Sword‘? It is a distinct plant. From memory I recall that it was wild collected by the late Michael Wickenden who was the owner of Cally Garden Nursery in Scotland. He was a dedicated and knowledgeable plantsman and his nursery was a treasure trove. The nursery still exists http://www.callygardens.co.uk/ but I have not been since Michael died. They currently do not list Cally Sword but it is available in the UK. The problem you have with a rocky ground I have with rodents eating my bulbs. So everything precious must be grown in pots. I bought corms of Cally Sword in England before Brexit and planted them in the garden only to discover that they are palatable to my rodents as well…… I managed to save one tiny bit which is now recovering in a pot. The leaves are different from any other Crocosmia but it has not flowered for me before getting eaten. And the tiny survivor is far from flowering size so far. Certainly a worthwhile subject for a Crocosmia collection. It might even be a distinct species or subspecies. Bye for now Uli _______________________________________________ pbs mailing list pbs@lists.pacificbulbsociety.net https://lists.pacificbulbsociety.net/cgi-bin/… Unsubscribe: <mailto:pbs-unsubscribe@lists.pacificbulbsociety.net> PBS Forum https://…
