No problem, its right that these decisions are revisited from time to time.
The 'paperclip' in your email program can know nothing about whether the
recipient accepts attachments.
Over at the forum, if you create a new post, or use the full reply (as
opposed to "quick reply") to an existing one you will see below your
text, "Click or drag files here to attach them".
To put it another way you have to create a new post before you can
attach a picture to it.

inline images. This is a general problem you can find discussed on

We would only accept JPEG images too.
