Dennis, I think today I'll put pink Rhodophiala pollen on an out-of-season Hippeastrelia flower in my garden (and vice versa). You never know...but the interesting cross that Dave Lehmiller made was between Sprekelia, Hippeastrelia and Zephyranthes traubii, I think. The Z. Traubii went a long way evidently in creating a small plant like a rain lily.
