Happily, this isn't Europe. But the best solution is simply to ignore any requests that come from delinquent members. This has the advantage that it neither makes extra work for our already-overworked volunteers nor rewards the deadbeats. Likewise, requests that are sent to the list instead of to the BX/SX coordinator should be ignored. I realize this is only my opinion, and if someone wants to make the case for why PBS should put up with adults who can't follow the most simple instructions and can't pay their very modest tab in a timely way, you have the floor.
