Bulb collection destroyed

Hi Gianni,

If you like I can look up who took material from your donations to the
European exchange - maybe you can have some of your original materials
back - of course anyone who remembers taking stuff from Gianni can
contact him directly - that's

EX03_285 to 289
EX05_413 to 418
EX07_506 to 513

most of that were seeds, though, and no freesias - I can send you most
of the EX07 seed part if wanted.

That said, considering the amount of mice my cat drags in, the
population must be enormous -I'm really grateful to the little guy for
helping me keeping them under control.

My extensive collection of South African Gladiolus and Freesia was
destroyed in a few days by mice ! The pots were in the greenhouse, but the
mice got in, sheared the plants and tore the bulbs apart: a disaster ! I
owned at least fifteen species laboriously collected over the years, some
still young, some about to bloom. It is amazing how the work of many years
can be destroyed in a few hours.
I appeal to Gladiolus and Freesia collectors to be able to recover at least
part of my collection. Those who are willing to give me bulbs (even buying)
starting next late spring please contact me privately. Thank you.
