Hi Mike, mine is growing in cooler weather in Southern California, and blooming around Sept. I have some mature ones on the ground with 100%pumice and also in the pots. Mostly I use tape water and the plants only get morning and noon sun, and they are happy. The old leaves will eventually turn yellowish and soft to touch , and that is the time I remove, it is normal process. I am not sure about temp sensitive, the only thing I am worry is during raining season plants on the ground , sit in water for few days due to bad drainage. Other than few meals bugs, I have not spent much time on Worsleya From Irvine , Ca Andy Sent from Yahoo Mail for iPhone On Friday, November 5, 2021, 7:10 AM, Mike via pbs <pbs@lists.pacificbulbsociety.net> wrote: I have some Worsleya Procera seedlings growing in the following conditions Germination mid January 4c4 black plastic seedling tray Seedlings sit in a black plastic nursery tray. In addition I live about 1 mile from the bay and ocean and we had a warm. But not hot summer All seeds germinated and did well until May when warm weather return to the area. They seemed to be stunted then a leaf would die, but a new one replaced it, so I was worried a bit. Now The weather has cooled and the Worsleya have grown tremendously the past six weeks. I Worsleya this temperature sensitive? I’m curious as I see them growing so well in cities like Sydney which has a similar climate to SanDiego for the most part? Along the way I repotted one, its leaves roots coloring were all normal no bugs no fungus or disease. Potted the seedling back up returned it to group. Am I missing something or are these plants that sensitive to warm soil? Is this a characteristic that goes away with age? Do your WP also exhibit this growth pattern? Spring/ Fall growth summer they slow way down? Any insight on soil temps and your experiences growing Worsleya would be great.
