I think this website gives you a good idea of the relatively stable temperatures this plant grows in habitat https://metoffice.gov.uk/weather/travel/… If I want seed "naturally pollinated" , I have to bring them into growth in late summer while there is still insects around, other wise I hand pollinate. The flower heads are tough enough to just touch (bang?) the heads together to get almost full seed set. Easy in pots, less so planted out. Mine are now under glass with ~7C min.
