Most important with lily (Lilium) seed storage is that they must stay dry. Moisture (including high humidity), can significantly shorten the storage life of the seed. As Jane says, freezing is the best long term option, and some experts feel it can actually aid the germination of some species. (I don't know about western American species.) Be careful if you are using an auto defrost freezer. You will want to take the precaution of extra insulation to prevent freeze/thaw cycles.
