I agree with Martin. I see this once in a while with my callas. The tip-off is that the colors on the "confused leaf" are the same as on the spathe, but with green mixed in. When this happens on a plant with red and white spathe, it can be pretty spectacular, looking similar to some caladiums. I haven't experimented to see if any particular culture increases the tendency (e.g., heavy fertilizing). It just happens from time to time.
