I disagree with this suggestion. I have several times been contacted by people who learned that I was growing a rare species, either because of BX donations or contributions to the wiki. It is annoying to be asked for bulbs of something I devoted many years to growing from seed, especially if I have only 3 or 4 plants. If I have a surplus, I will donate it, or give it to a nursery which can propagate and sell it.
