All, Al contacted me with further information on the Z. drummondii. He received it from JC Raulston Arboretum as Z. drummondii San Carlos form, which is abnormally large. I wonder if the abnormal size would make it hardier than the original? The flower still hasn't opened the rest of the way yet, I guess it will be another four or five hours. It is open just enough that a bee could climb in there and get busy, but not enough to see much. Any input on the Crinum lugardiae?
