I'm putting together a donation to the BX and one of the species I've removed from my bulb house is Hyacinthoides hispanica subsp. algeriensis (grown from wild-collected seed). I don't know whether to offer it because though it's smaller than the familiar H. hispanica ("the dreaded Spanish bluebell"), it could behave similarly in favorable conditions. What do you think? Is "botanical interest" worth taking the chance of distributing an invasive plant?
