We lost both Romneya plants that my husband planted purchased at native plant sales. I'm not even sure they lasted a whole year. Even though I love this plant, I was relieved since I knew about the thug characteristics and how it sometimes came up where it wasn't wanted and I didn't think our garden had enough sun for it to be happy. But I am always pleased to see it flowering not far from us where it is grown in full sun and probably receives very little water although I don't know for sure. I haven't peered over the fence to see if it is taking off in other places.
