My newest plant obsession is fragrant cactuses (especially the tropical epiphytes) which are definitely OT for PBS. However, while searching for sources for the more obscure varieties I encountered the genus Wilcoxia. These are cactuses with tuberous roots like Dahlias. They're fascinating! Are PBS members growing these? I can't find any record of them being offered in the BX. The PBS wiki does have a page for a related genus, but not for Wilcoxia: http://pacificbulbsociety.org/pbswiki/index.php/… My first attempt is going to be Wilcoxia schmolli. I just ordered some seeds. Some cool pics of it can be seen here: http://www.cacti.co.nz/shop/wilcoxia-schmollii/ http://forum.bcss.org.uk/viewtopic.php?t=154042 http://blog.goo.ne.jp/queiiti/m/200808/ (2nd photo down, on this page) Dennis in Cincinnati
