Confirmed! None of the former Wilcoxias tolerate the summer heat of Yuma, even when completely shaded. The native Peniocereus greggii hangs around and grows, but is finicky here. The Mexican species don't like the extreme heat, either. However, most of the former Wilcoxias tolerate the winter cold of the Chihuahuan Desert perfectly fine (since most of them are native there) and grew beautifully for me in Alpine, Texas. I found by experience that very few cacti can survive 120F+ high temps! _______________________________________________ pbs mailing list pbs@lists.ibiblio.org http://pacificbulbsociety.org/list.php http://pacificbulbsociety.org/pbswiki/
