Here in the North West of England people have planted the verges at the 
side of the roads with daffodils. This idea has spread from one 
community to another.

50 years ago there must have been none, now there are lots. Left 
undisturbed they go on and on.

Anyway now is the time to drive around and admire the daffodils.

They're doing well in my garden too - first crop daffodils appeared at 
the start of January, they got burnt off by February gales, and happily 
there's now a second flowering.

Not the same bulbs, but later flowering ones.
