Hi, In one of the recent bulb exchanges, I got a few of Mary Sue's Acis bulbs. I planted them in my rock garden in a few different places, unmarked, with varying levels of moisture throughout the Summer (via closer or farther from a soaker hose, varying amounts of sand in the medium, etc.) Voles have gone to town eating all the Alliums out of that bed. First of two questions: Do pests eat Acis bulbs? Does their family association mean the bulbs are toxic? Second question: Leaves are appearing. I also have Ipheion in that bed, and leaves of that are appearing. Do the leaves of Ipheion and Acis appear at the same time in Autumn, and do they look similar? Just wondering if what I'm seeing are in fact both. The leaves of one seem to have a slight bloom, reminiscent of Narcissus.
