But, mostly, thanks to our donors for sharing. They’re the most important part. We should all be donors in this exchange. Have you donated?

A very sincere THANK YOU to all of you who make this happen, and possible -
donors, and packagers, shippers, - Dell, Steve, Karl, and all the rest of
them. Thank you.

Thank you, Lesley, Jim, and Nhu. I appreciate the kind words. I wasn't
fishing for them, I threw in the statistics because they were handy and I
thought the group might be interested, but I do appreciate them.

Please don't forget Karl Church, who packaged up all those seeds into the
little envelopes. My name shows up on the emails, but he does at least as
much work - every packet I send out, he packaged. My wife and I do that

job

for another exchange each fall, and I can assure you it's taking Karl a

lot

of time and eyestrain - and remembering not to cough or sneeze at the

wrong

time - to do that.

And of course there is Dell. Karl and I have worked on 4 SXes now. Dell
just finished offering BX number 390 (yes, 390!), and he still does

intake

for the SXes too. Our contributions are tiny by comparison with his.

That level of volunteer work in the Society is astonishing. I can't
imagine
how long it took in between trying to have a life. Thank you. I already
wrote privately to Steve to thank him.

But those stats are making me shake my head.

I wished I'd joined long ago as well. I've been reading stuff on the

site

for years.

I want to second Nhu's praise for Steve's work. I had no idea what a big

thing this was: the numbers are really impressive. Steve and Dell must
sometimes feel as if they are running small country post offices. You
both
have spoiled us with the great jobs you are doing.
