Little Merendera sobolifera is in bloom now, later than in some years. It grows here in the ground at the edge of a lawn, in the local soil and not at all pampered. It grows in a spot with lots of tommies, and when the Merendera comes up it's hard to spot because it at first looks like another little crocus.Jim McKenneyMontgomery County, Maryland, USA, USDA zone 7, where a wood frog is calling from the garden pond.
