There is no spam from facebook there is no way for anyone to send to
you. You can join and block out all your info to everyone but facebook
and they don’t send anything.

I don't know how most people feel about it, but I would not want to
register on Facebook, even for the sake of getting plants! I get far
too much spam as it is, probably from having my email address available
on the PBS website as membership coordinator.
