paroxide and germination breaker

Leo and All,

What other Genus/species of seed do you use peroxide 3% to achieve
germination? Do you use it undiluted in all cases or? Have you used
detergent as was mentioned and if so, can anyone tell me how and in what
quantity? I'm curious about why either of these two works. I can
understand detergent working on a waxy coating, for example, but how does
the peroxide work?

There are certain native seeds, not all of them bulbs, that seem to defy me,
dicentra being one. I always try to take into account possible issues with
poor quality seed, but when it happens year after year, I do wonder!
