Bob, I’ve grown perhaps a half dozen cvs of this species and they are definitely not all equal. One of the oldest ‘Wisley Blue’ has persisted and done well for years. No other blue has lasted more than a couple of years. Same for pinks although there may be lingering ‘Charlotte Bishop’. By far the best is I. u. 'Alberto Castillo’ The flowers are among the largest in the species, pure white, held high and clump up nicely. It is the only one with good garden ‘presence’ and if you are to try any, try this. Very aptly named for Alberto here on the this list and group. A stand out. Best Jim W.
