Really nice to read about the Veratrum fimbriatum being hardy because I thought I killed it with cold, but it must have been yet another Western NA plant that dies heat related complications in the eastern states. Also, I think that the V. hybridum image is actually V. virginicum. Hybridum has distinctly clawed tepals with undulate margins. It is also very rare and flowers very infrequently. Virginicum will flower every year though when happy.
