Dear PBS members and supporters, I am very pleased to announce that as of December 22, 2014, the Pacific Bulb Society is an incorporated entity! The PBS is now a corporation and has protection from law as any other corporate entities. It doesn't in any way change our way of operation and we continue to provide educational material and facilitate exchange of material for members. This is all thanks to the hard work and leadership of our brave Vice President John Wickham and Treasurer Arnold Trachtenberg, so please send them thanks and gratitude for making this happen. Whereas we have been trying to do this for years without success, John forged ahead and see it through. It is a long and arduous process, starting with revamping our by-laws which John also took charge with the help of Pam Slate. Then the incorporation letters and forms had to be drafted and filed with the right entities, followed with more forms and payments. Thank you so much, John, Arnold, and Pam! John is now in the process of applying for non-profit status and we hope to get it approved in the next few months. After 12 years, the PBS being led by fearless leaders with forward visions that kept us current technologies and the commitment to take care of our members, our society is stronger than ever and continues to gain acknowledgements, support, and membership world-wide. There are still many things that we can improve upon, and we could not do it without your help. Please donate in your extra bulb seeds and bulbs (most get gobbled up so you don't have to worry that no one will want them). If you have an article, like to write something, or see something that would be nice to feature in our newsletter, please send them along. The wiki continues to be the great source of accumulated bulb knowledge and we always need help. Consider donating a bit of your time, images or text to the collective fundamental tome of modern bulb growing. Happy official birthday to the PBS and happy growing, Nhu Nguyen PBS President
