Transplanting Erythronium americanum

Roy,
I’ve dug them in bloom, brought them home and planted. They go dormant quickly, but eventually bloom much better in the garden than in these masses of single leaves. They do ‘run around’, but never a bother.

Go for it. Jim W.

My question is when should I try to 'rescue' a few of these and move them to my own garden? Now, or mark a few and wait for dormancy? If I do move some, will they ever bloom?
