Just received a publication entitled Tulips in the Wild co-published by the commercial firm Colorblends and the Amsterdam Tulip Museum and authored by Eric Breed. Very nice maps with species distributions, color pictures of the species *in situ* and a short paragraph of descriptive text. The author notes many of them do not easily adapt to cultivation (in the Netherlands). I wonder if anyone has tried to grow them in gardens with colder continental climates? Many thanks, Boyce Tankersley Chicago Botanic Garden USDA zone 5
