During my lifetime, I've opinions like these:

I'll never own or use a telephone - I don't need one - shortly to be followed by; I can just use yours!

What's the point of a home computer? (famous IBM quote for those who want to search).

Why do you need a computer at home? My school asked me that, when I had a ZX81.

Why use a cell phone? I have a home phone.

I don't need email.

I hate facebook.

Social media is just another evolving form of communication/technology like those mentioned above. The International Bulb Society didn't understand how to use any of them well, and we know what happened.
