Greetings, The bigger of the 2 Brunsvigia josephinae I got from Bulb Baron Bill a few weeks ago was hiding a surprise. A bloomstem started to emerge yesterday. This bulb was replanted only 2 weeks ago. It had a pretty good skirt of roots left but obviously lost a good many in the move, too. Does anyone have a suggestion for moving or not removing the bloomstem? I don't want to stress the bulb (but at 22 lbs, I also figure it has a a substantial reserve already!). Here a pic: http://www.anexaminedlife.net/bulbs/brunsJ.jpg Other items in-bloom include Haemanthus coccineus and sanguineus and Eriospermum brevipes. In non-bulbous plants, I have a motley crew of Asclepiads blooming in the front yard succulent beds - weird, starfishy, stinky flowers all over... -|<ipp
