I got a few of these Jim and the seedlings died in the heat and humidity for me. Maybe there were other factors involved, but I know nothing of its "native" habitat." Given that it seems happy in NZ and the UK heat and humidity seems an easy and probable scapegoat. That said, I would love to try it again. I grew the typical form years ago in eastern Kansas without much trouble bringing it in over the winter and watering once during that 5 month dormancy.
