We saw, in just one spot in Tanzania, a Crinum species that I did not recognize. The picture is shown at: http://shieldsgardens.com/Blogs/Garden/… Just scroll down to the Crinum section, and it follows the piece on Crinum macowanii. I'd appreciate any help in IDing the unknown Crinum. Since we saw it in a national park, there was no possibility of bringing a specimen home. Crinum macowanii was seen in numerous places, including Tarangire National Park, Ngorongoro crater, and one or two places in the Serengeti. None of the bulbs seen were in seed; in fact, they all seem to have just started to bloom. Jim Shields ************************************************* Jim Shields USDA Zone 5 P.O.
