I'm sure it's telling you to let it go dormant.
I grow everything inside my plant house, including a lot of stuff that is
supposed to go dormant at some point - but I never force it on them - as a
result, there is always something "funky" going on - for example, I have a
winter growing Golden Rain Tree, that goes dormant during the summer!
