Hello Jude, I am also in Northeastern Massachusetts. I don't grow any tender bulbs, everything I grow has to be hardy enough to survive outdoors in USDA Zone 5. Allium is my main focus, although I grow many other things too. In addition to the weather service site (http://www.noaa.org/) that Arnold suggested (which I like and use all the time); for tracking a storm the following site is excellent... http://www.stormpulse.com/fullscreen/current/ ... you can zoom in, pan around, turn cloud cover on or off, turn radar/rainfall on or off, and it gave a much more useful constantly-updated view of the recent Hurricane Earl stormtrack than any other site. As you know, the hurricane ended up missing Massachusetts and fizzled out to a tropical storm... barely even got any much-needed rain here.
