We welcome Andrew Wilson to our list. Some of us will remember him
from an old bulb list in the past. It must be really amazing to see
these flowers in such a stark rocky place.

In looking over the Rhodophiala page I am wondering if any of the
list members from Argentina can tell us what the status is
of Rhodophiala 'Granatiflora' ? Has this ever been published as a
species? I don't see it listed in the Kew monocot checklist, in IPNI,
or Tropicos.

I have inserted images of a Rhodophiala species (not yet identified,
to my knowledge) that I came across in northwestern Argentina at
around 9000 feet.
