Giant Hippeastrum flowers

It's spring here in the southern hemisphere and Hippeastrums are in full bloom.

A gardening friend of mine ,who has several hundred hippy bulbs, has this flowering at the moment.

The flowers are 10 inches in diameter (25cm). Amazing sight. I hope to get some seeds.
