Hi, As some of you may have noticed if you study the wiki, Alessandro Marinello grows many unusual plants that not many of the rest of us grow. He is always adding photos of plants I don't know anything about. He has photos to add to the wiki and is asking what name to use. Kew lists the accepted name as Pyrolirion albicans Herb., Amaryllidaceae: 184 (1837) Mobot's Tropicos lists two different accepted names: Cooperia albicans (Herb.) Sprague Macbride, J. F. 1936. Amaryllidaceae, Flora of Peru. Field Mus. Nat. Hist., Bot. Ser. 13(1/3): 631–690. Zephyranthes albicans (Herb.) Baker Brako, L. & J. L. Zarucchi 1993. Catalogue of the Flowering Plants and Gymnosperms of Peru. Monogr. Syst. Bot. Missouri Bot. Gard. 45: i–xl, 1–1286. Can anyone help us figure out what to call this plant? I see Pascal has added it under Pyrolirion on his wonderful Amaryllidaceae site. We will add a synonym to the other wiki page although I don't think we have a page for Cooperia as when we started we understood that name wasn't the accepted name at the time. Any information about this plant that we could add as text would be greatly appreciated too. Thanks. Mary Sue
