My plants are grown in the greenhouse under conditions that slipper orchids appreciate. They are in a very porous mix about 1/3rd pumice chips. One plant flowers every year. It only started to flower when it got pot bound. The other three plants have yet to flower but look as if they might in a year or two. This species goes deciduous and loses its leaves in the winter. Then water is reduced but they still watered occasionally. Other than that they get no special care. They get fed when the orchids are fed (when I remember) and the same fertilizer. cheers Harold At 07:04 PM 12/10/2010, you wrote: >I too would like to thank Harold for his positive comments. > > Harold could you let us know how often you have had them flower > and once they have started flowering are they very reliable? do you > know if there are any special conditions required to induce them to flower? > >Kind Regards and Best Wishes Ron Redding Hervey Bay Australia > > > >_______________________________________________ >pbs mailing list >pbs@lists.ibiblio.org >http://pacificbulbsociety.org/list.php >http://pacificbulbsociety.org/pbswiki/
