Dear All, A client who bought recently Apios americana from me, told me that these tubers were eaten by the indians and the first american settlers. It contains 3x as much protein as potatoes. There is little information available on this plant.(there is nothing in the wiki!) English common names are said to be: groundnut - wild bean - potatobean - groundbean. Does any one know that this speciesis still used as a vegetable Kind greetings Lauw de Jager http://www.bulbargence.com/
