Ben I spent some time yesterday looking for black apiculi, but found them only in an old clone of a Div 1 YY yellow trumpet daffodil. Presumably aff. hispanicus. The only wild taxon I have here with pure yellow flowers is N. perez-chiscanoi and that does not have them. Very curious about your train of enquiry.... John Grimshaw Dr John M.
