In preparation for next year I am searching eBay for some surplus Second World War barrage balloons. Most of the descriptive information came from my 21 year-old daughter who had just returned from having 4 wisdom teeth removed. She wasn't hallucinating but neither had she swallowed an ornithology encyclopedia, so no more information about the identity of the bird is available. Based on the angle of attack, the type of damage, lack of other options and the fact that I don't believe in coincidences, it was the bird that dunnit. Thanks for all your comments.
